Why can't humans fly?
I've always loved sitting down. Whether it be in a comfy chair or on a ferry traveling towards St. John, having the option to sit is a treat. However, humans' options for transportation are limited. We can walk. We can roller-skate or ride a bike and even snowshoe like our Alaskan neighbors. The real question: Why aren't humans able to fly?
I can think of 1,000 and more reasons why human flight would be great but I lack the patience to explain more than, let's say, three or four.
1. Murder rates would diminish
It's a fact that people are murdered every day. For the most part, murderers murder because they are stressed out and feel that there is no other option to blow off steam. If humans were able to fly, they would find new ways to blow off steam. Instead of murdering, you can soar to the Grand Canyon.
2. Crime rates would diminish
A world in which humans can fly is a world that exists without car-theft. Why would one feel compelled to steal a car if they can fly wherever they need to go?
3. Traffic: A thing of the past
What's the one thing everybody on the planet hates the most? What's the worst part of your day? Nine times out of ten, the answer is traffic.
Yes, that's right, traffic. A nightmare.
With the option of flight, fewer people would be driving places, therefore, no road traffic.
4. Architectural benefits
If humans were able to fly, they would be able to build skyscrapers 15x the size that they are now. There would be no casualties in the process of making these magnificent buildings.
So with all of this in mind, it's now YOUR job to get out there are beg your local scientists to get humankind where it needs to be.
