Group projects are the bane of so many students’ existences. While they can sometimes go smoothly, many have had terrible experiences with them in the past. Here are the different types of group project members a student has most likely encountered, according to Parks and Rec characters.
1. The one who does all the work.
This person is definitely the Leslie Knope of the group. He/she is always a leader, organizer, delegator, and usually does a majority of the work.
2. The one who does the bare minimum.
Typically a senior, this person is basically over the whole group project scene. They can be a good resource if you need, but they typically don't do more than what is assigned to them, similar to Ron Swanson.
3. The dynamic duo.
Usually charismatic, these two tend to be the one's presenting the project. The Donna and Toms of the bunch are probably the two bffs that somehow got assigned to the same group. They're well-liked by the majority and have no problem holding an audience.
4. The one with all the bad ideas.
There's always that one student who is the Jerry of the group. Everything they say and do has to be corrected or thrown out.
5. The one who does not care.
The April of the group dgaf at all. He/she is basically just part of the head count, but can really be helpful when they decide to apply themselves.
6. The one who tries but isn't always that helpful.
The Andy of the group tries really hard to be helpful, but in reality isn't a great asset to the team. Although they are a great person to be around, they usually aren't the best group member.
7. The free-loader.
The Jean-Ralphio of the group never does any work. Everyone dreads him/her being assigned to their group because they basically get a grade for free. They tend to be non-existent unless absolutely required to be there.
