BroSis,

Four years ago, when you all came into my life, I never thought you guys would be my best friends, but you are. Who would have thought that a trip out to the movies after camp would spark a friendship, but it did. I’m forever thankful for the many life lessons, spontaneous adventures and the constant love and support you guys have shown me over the years.

Thank you for all the spontaneous adventures we have taken. I will never forget about the time when we got lost in Jacksonville at midnight when our curfew was at midnight. After driving around we ended up saying “screw curfew” and drove around Jacksonville listening to “Che La Luna” while singing and dancing the night away or the numerous Saturdays we would spend in Jacksonville not having a plan ahead of time but having the willingness to do the most random things. I’ll never forget the random nights where we would go to half priced apps at Applebees and we would be there until two in the morning. I’ll never forget the Annual BroSis New Year’s parties where we called everyone we knew just to wish them a Happy New Year and spending our night just enjoying each other’s presence. I could go on and on about the memories that we’ve made, but that would go on forever. I have no idea where I would be without you guys . Each one of you: Ryan, Jasper, Leah, Alek, Ty, and Josh have left a mark on my life that will never be forgotten.

Ryan, the man with the plan. The guy that form this whole group. Thank you for all of your hugs and your content words of advice. It’s never a dull moment when you’re in the room. Thanks for driving me around when I couldn’t. Thanks for always telling me to be more assertive with other people. I honestly don’t know where I would be without you. Love you, man.

Jasper, thanks for you good taste in music, your sarcastic jokes, and always being willing to go to half priced apps or go on a coffee date any night of the week (even if you show up an hour late). Your passion for everything that you do inspires me. I’m forever thankful for our late night car rides and your friendship over the years. Thanks for putting up with me, dweeb.

Leah, my ride or die for many years. Your constant happiness and love are contagious. I’m so thankful for the many adventures we had in high school. From the long summer nights driving back and forth to Jacksonville for rehearsals to the road trips to the lake house. Thanks for being such a great sister to me.

Alek, thank you for being you! Your consent willingness to learn, serve, and love is very contagious. Thanks for always being concerned with how others are feeling. Your talent is a gift from God and your so humble about it. You are such a joy to be around and I’m so proud of the man that you are becoming. Thanks for being like a big brother to me.

Ty, the guy who’s always willing to beat up the person who would hurt me. Thank you for your many years of friendship. Although we don’t talk much, we always pick up things right where we left off. You’re such a blessing in my life!

Group dad, Josh, thanks for putting up with all of us. You’re such a kind and humble man of God. I know we knew each other in high school, but I’m so thankful for the friendship we made outside of school. Thanks for your wisdom and love that you not only show me, but to the rest of the group. I know that you’re not always there when we hang out, but the group wouldn’t be the same without you!

The BroSis is different now. We’ve all gone our separate ways. One of us is at film school is California, and another is at a major state school doing what she loves to do. One of us is about to pursue a career in acting, and a few are being successful in the workforce, and then there’s me, a girl who doesn’t know what the heck she’s doing with her life at a small university in southern Missouri. We don’t see or hear from each other as often. We all have different and new friend groups, but the memories and the relationships that we’ve formed with this group will forever be in our hearts.

Thank you, BroSis, for shaping me into the person I am today.

Always love,

Your Brittle Brattle

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
