It's November and that means it's CHRISTMAS SEASON. Listen, I'm not just jumping on some kind of bandwagon when I say I love Christmas- I LOVE Christmas. And I believe we should be able to deck those halls and kiss under mistletoe all year round without all this negativity.

Now I get it, "What about Thanksgiving? Let the turkey have its day!" blah, blah, blah. No one said anything about skipping the glorious Turkey Day, in fact, Thanksgiving is like a warmup for Christmas with all the family-time and the huge meals so trust me, no one forgets her. Plus, if you start rockin' around the Christmas tree now, the season can last so. much. longer.

I don't know about you, but spooky season FLEW by. I felt like I hardly had time to enjoy it because of midterms and everything else going on. But, as soon as November 1st hits, you had better believe I am ready to soak up as much Christmas spirit as I can in less than 2 months. I have all of November and by the time semester break rolls around, I am full-blown holly jolly.

Even if you don't like the winter season surrounding Christmas (who doesn't like sweaters, hot chocolate, and snuggles) there are still so many other aspects to enjoy. Spending time with friends and family, the beautiful decorations (whether they be cold and icy or warm with reds and green), giving gifts, movies, the religious side of the holiday, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Here's the thing, I won't bash you for waiting to celebrate until after Thanksgiving if you won't bash me for starting now. The people who throw the holiday in everyone's faces can be annoying (I'm here for it though) so I promise I'll try not to be that person. Just let people have their fun and do whatever makes them happy. If that means breaking out the flannel sheets the day after Halloween then that's what it means. If that means waiting until December 23rd to buy a tree then that's what that means. If that means watching Elf on repeat for 25 days then that is what it means and no one can do a thing about it.

There's only room for one grinch in this world so let me have my fun and go wait for your turkey to cook.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
