If you're anything like me, you can't get enough of Meredith Grey and her dark and twisty ways. Besides the numerous amount of "McHotties," there are many life lessons in each episode of Grey's Anatomy that teach us that even high-ranked surgeons go through the same life challenges that we do.

1. "We're all susceptible to it, the dread and anxiety of not knowing what's coming. It's pointless in the end because all the worrying and the making plans for things that could or could not happen, it only makes things worse. So walk your dog or take a nap. Just whatever you do, stop worrying. Because the only cure to paranoia is to be here, just as you are." — Meredith Grey.

2. "Failure is inevitable, unavoidable, but failure should never get the last word." — Meredith Grey

3. "If you love someone, you tell them. Even if you're scared that it's not the right thing. Even if you're scared it'll cause problems. Even if you're scared that it will burn your life to the ground. You say it. You say it loud." — Mark Sloan

4. "Pick me. Choose me. Love me." — Meredith Grey

5. "We're adults.
When did that happen? And how do we make it stop?" — Meredith Grey

6. "Oh, screw beautiful, I'm brilliant! If you want to appease me, compliment my brain." — Cristina Yang

7. "We lose those battles as often as we succeed. The key, though, win or lose, is to never fail. And the only way to fail is not to fight. So fight until you can't fight anymore. Never let go. Never give up. Never run. Never surrender. Fight the good fight, you fight even when it seems inevitable you're about to go down swinging." — Amelia Shepherd

8. "I miss him — all the time... I miss him. It's not waves, it's constant. All the time." — Izzie Stevens

9. "Every time I look at you...
I feel better. It shocks me. It knocks my wind out, but it's true. I don't have to have sex with you, I'd be happy just look at you from across the room. And even that, anything, any piece of you. And, hopefully, all of you... that'd be the best thing. Because I love you." — George O'Malley

10. "It's important to tell the people you love how much you love them while they can hear you." — Meredith Grey

11. "Forgive and forget. That’s what they say. It’s good advice, but it’s not very practical. When someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back. When someone wrongs us, we want to be right. Without forgiveness, old scores are never settled. Old wounds never heal, and the most we can hope for is that, one day, we’ll be lucky enough to forget." — Meredith Grey

12. "Don't let what he wants eclipse what you need. He's very dreamy, but he is not the sun. You are." — Cristina Yang

13. “You deserve to be with someone who makes you happy. Somebody who’s not going to complicate your life. Somebody who won’t hurt you.” -Derek Shepherd

You may watch Grey's Anatomy for the extremely hot doctors or maybe it's for the drama that, for once, isn't yours. No matter what your reasoning is, we can all agree that the characters on this show are pretty damn inspiring.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
