Most people think that your mom has to be your biological mother. I do not think so. I believe a mom is someone who does all these things for you in your life. The one woman in your life that you can always rely on and the one person you always want to be present in your life. Here are signs that confirm you have an amazing woman in your life you can call your mom.

She is your #1 cheerleader!

Your mom will always be your number #1 cheerleader and supporter. You know you have a great mom if you can look into the crowd and see her smiling big back at you. They first and foremost will correct you if you are wrong but moms will also be there to support you when you are right.

You can't stay apart for too long.

Giphy

You ever find yourself feeling like something missing and then realized that it's your mom. Often times this is when you find yourself alone in a grocery store. However, being in college you are often miles or even states away from the most amazing women in your life.

You talk all the time.

Giphy

OK, literally I call my mom after class. Do I feel any shame? Hell No! You know you have a great mom when she is the first person you want to call at the end of the day. Being able to call your mom, whenever you want, is probably one of the biggest blessings one can have in their lives. If you do not have anyone to call you always know you have your mother there to listen to all your problems.

She is the definition of cool.

So I don't know about you but my mom is literally the definition of cool. She is super cornball even with all her smarts but she is the main person I want to hang out with. Why? Because she is the only person I know will not judge me even in the slightest. Your mom will be the one to always offer you a smile and turn your frown upside down.

"Mom" has become your favorite word.

Giphy

So my mom probably gets tired of me screaming "MA!" around the house but frankly, I don't care anymore. When you find yourself instinctively screaming "MOM!" you know you have your best friend for life. It may not be the first word out your mouth but it will be the one you love to say.

She's literally your best supporter.

Giphy

My mom is the strongest person I know. She literally is the definition of boss. She has three whole degrees and a successful career. Not to mention she raised my pain in the ass self. And did it all with grace, elegance, and poise. If you find that your inspiration in life comes from one special woman you know you have an amazing mother.

Being in college is the time to bask in your independence. But you should also take a moment to think back to who helped you get to were you are now because I guaranty you that there is probably a very strong woman behind you.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
