The moment that we have all been anticipating is finally here. from Pre-school to now, we have been working toward one single objective, Graduating.
Growing up in a small town has taught me so many things that I would have never learned if I grew up in a big city. Grants, New Mexico is a community that provides so much support to functions that are going to benefit it as a whole especially its education. The community and its members have always supported us as much as possible, and now is our time to say Thank you. Thank you teachers, family and friends for all that you have done and all that you will continue to do as our senior class goes on with our lives.
I think I can speak for the entire class when I say this;
Thank you families for loving and supporting us no matter how much you wanted to rip your hair out in the process. thank you for pushing us when you knew we weren't living up to our potential and thank you for everything that you have taught us in all the years that led up to this very moment. Mommy thank you for always being my best friend, Dad thank you for teaching me even the most common sense things like righty tight-ey lefty loose-y, Matthew, Thank you for driving me absolutely crazy, Vanessa, Ron, Zoey, Sophia, and Jacob thank you for making me realize that I can do anything that I set my mind to even if that means being Uncle Dooey. Michael, I know you couldn't be here but thank you for helping me realize my potential. Aaron thank you for helping me grow as a person and being the best friend that I've fallen in love with. Marisol and Ray thank you for everything. I love each and every one of you.
Thank you teachers for pushing us past our limits and teaching us so many important life lessons. being tested to death isn't your fault and were sorry for thinking it was you the whole time.
Friends thank you for all of the memories, Jessica, Kayleigh, Carlie, Tiarra, and Jasmine, I know our paths have been so close these past four years and I wouldn't have changed one second of it. Good luck in all that you do, each of you can achieve anything you set your minds to.
These next people are individuals who have supported the Senior class of 2016 more than any other.
Now to my second family, the class of 2016. Thank you to the entire class for allowing me to represent you as class president from freshman year until now, it has been an absolute pleasure! Always follow your heart and reach for the stars because we can achieve anything we set our minds to. We are Grants High Schools class of 2016.
There are so many memories that I will never forget like being at the pit screaming my lungs out watching Richie, Bradley, and Mike score points that put us ahead, or hearing that our MCJROTC just became National Champions, or coming to school in a bad mood and Ruben and Jordan making you laugh about absolutely anything or seeing Samantha Mendez absolutely kill it with her portrayal of Fiona in Shrek the musical or hearing Alexandria Rael and Erika Garden talk about the homework that you forgot to do but they got you because you had them the time before. And my personal favorite flipping through the yearbook and seeing that Mr. Romero and his Yearbook staff used the absolute worst picture for the tennis page and to make it worse put it in our senior slideshow.
I will never forget the laughs, or the atmosphere that Grants High School has provided, knowing absolutely everyone and their business has its perks because it has made all of us so close. Even though we may not all be extremely close to each other we have all made an impact on one another that will last a lifetime, class of 2016 always remember that.
Class of 2016 please rise because WE DID IT!
