Dear Seniors,
Whether you're in high school or in college, the time has inevitably come. The hard work you put into receiving your diploma was a pain in the a**, but it well worth it. Remember the first time you stepped onto campus as a small freshman? Your heart was on your sleeve and your motivation to try anything and everything was through the roof. That day would be the beginning to a crazy roller coaster that would last for four years. Throughout the years, you joined many clubs, met new friends, lost friends, made connections with people you never thought you would, and broadened your social life. Not to mention, it was a time to experiment and find your true self -- either finding your sexuality, identity or your roots. Academics, on the other hand, was what brought you to your diploma in the first place. You aced subjects that you thought were impossible. The sleepless nights working on your projects to present in front of the whole class and finishing off with a BANG, with adrenaline rushing through your whole body and knowing you aced it, was priceless. The essays were no joke and I'm pretty sure you might've procrastinated either once or twice...or your whole academic career, but nevertheless it was always turned in on time. Let's not forget about the teachers that put their hearts into seeing you receive your diploma. The smile you make when you shake the hand of the administrator as you reach out for your diploma is the only 'Thank You,' they need to see.
Something is holding you back from not wanting to graduate because of the memories and the people that you might never recreate or see again, and that pulls at your heartstrings, but the other half of you is ready to move on and explore the world. Just remember, you are graduating for a reason, so you are definitely ready to take on life's obstacles. Just believe in yourself. The chapter that you have just finished is only the start to a new chapter ahead of you. I can't wait to see how your work will impact the world!
Sincerely,
Life
