I am not perfect. I mess up. I make mistakes. I say the wrong things. I take things for granted. I fail God everyday, but there is this one wonderful thing that He gives me– grace. Overwhelming grace. When I think of the word grace, I not only think of my middle name (lol), but I always think of this one line from a song: “If His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.” How powerful is that? The ocean is so big and deep and full of space, but we are still sinking in the grace of God, and I never want to come up for air, ever. I want to stay right in the middle of that ocean, praising and worshipping the one who forgives, the one who saves, the one who redeems.
Why does God still forgive when we should be unforgivable? We fail Him, don’t we? We are so undeserving of His grace, love and mercy, and I just want to yell out, “LORD I DON’T DESERVE YOU,” but He is still there, through the highs and even through the lows, never leaving and never forsaking, never turning His back and never walking away.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
