A lot of Christians will tell you that God will forgive any sin that you commit, yet they, themselves, still carry their baggage around with them. For some reason, Christians seem to feel that everybody else can be forgiven, except them. They talk the talk, but they do not practice what they preach.
If someone comes up to another person, and asks if their sin is too great a lot of people will quote the parable of Jesus and the adulteress. Jesus told the people, he who is without sin can cast the first stone, and one by one, every single person walked away. However, people still see their sin as too great for Jesus' grace to handle and I am here to tell you that it’s not true. Nothing, no matter what you have done or said, can separate you from the love and grace of God. No one is exempt from the adulteress parable. Jesus took up all of our sins on the cross and forgave each and every one of us.
God does not believe that you are an awful person. He is not there to squash you with his thumb because you aren’t “holy” enough. He does not look at you and see an imperfect sinful child. Instead, He offers His hand, to hold you up in your weakness. He forgives you, no matter what you have done; it is wiped clean by the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross.
He knows that the weight of the baggage does not matter, but how long will you make your life weary by continuing to carry the baggage? He offers to take our baggage from us, and we will never see it again if we let Him take it. All we have to do is ask for forgiveness, and no matter who we are, or how bad we have sinned, He forgives us.
So, if you are ever in doubt, just know. Grace is enough, and Jesus has your back.
