Now that the winter weather has finally began to settle in, it’s time for us to enjoy the perks of snow - skiing and snowboarding. Hopefully within the coming months we will be ambushed with enough snow to get us a nice base layer to set our skies and board on. For my fellow snow lovers, you’re probably thinking, when can I hit the slopes? I don’t live around here, where do I go? Can I afford it? Unfortunately for us Roger Williams students, we are far from any decent sized mountain, like Killington, Mt. Snow, Loon Mountain or Gore Mountain. However, I am here to point you in the right direction if you want to hit some of the local slopes or take off for a weekend with your friends while at school this winter. (Mountains are in order from closest to farthest.)
