Gotham is that one show that you love to watch because it's based off the DC Comics and in the heartland of Crime City. Batman is growing up and the Villains are emerging from their holes. It's a show that makes you feel as though you're in the same world and that somewhere there is a Batman and Catwoman in training and we are yet to see our heroes and anti-heroes make an appearance. Jim Gordon, Batman's GCPD insider, is still young (and super attractive) and he is beginning to rule the world that is Gotham and he is learning about the antagonists that plague his beloved city.

Speaking of villains, here are the Gotham City Villains Ranked.

1. Jerome Valeska

The Joker wannabee. My all-time favorite DC villain is the Joker. When Jerome popped up I freaked out and immediately thought that he was my man, but I'm 97% sure he is not and I was informed by an older fan of the Comics that The Joker is an illusion and he is no one. I don't like that answer so I will continue to ignore it. But, Jerome is my #1.

2. Oswald Cobblepot

The Penguin. I'm not a huge fan of him in anything else except this show. His character is strong and scary in some instances. He has grown from being the manservant of a fearless leader to being a fearless leader. Because of this show, I am a Penguin fan.

3. Edward Nygma

The Riddler. The Riddler is a great character. Jim Carrey played a great Riddler and I loved him in Batman Forever. This Riddler is dark and twisted. He has issues and he's struggling to keep power over himself which is related to some of the people who watch this show.

4. Fish Mooney

The original queen of Gotham, at least when this story takes place. She's fierce and she created The Penguin. Also, Jada Pinkett Smith.

5. Barbara Kean

Jim's crazy ex-girlfriend. She's beautiful, smart and slightly (majorly) off kilter.

6. Theo Galavan

"Azrael." This guy. His character is smart and deceitful. It hurt me to watch it because it was aggravating. He is an awesome villain, though. It confuses me though because I am a total lover of the Batman: Arkham video games and Azrael wasn't a villain. Oh well.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
