To my surprise, many of my friends have no clue what the itis is. I, on the other hand, have grown up with the term being thrown around after every large holiday meal.The very idea of the itis is largely a product of Black humor, but it is certainly starting to integrate across cultures. Anyways, as we are now in the days after Thanksgiving and the full wrath of the holiday season is amongst us, this is a perfect moment to explain what people mean when they say the itis.
