When You Give A Girl A Brother...
Anderson

My little brother is 11 years younger than me and when he was born my life was changed completely. He drives me crazy every day, he makes me smile every day. I would do anything for him and I realize he is the best gift that God could have given my family.

When you give a girl a little brother, you give her someone that will test her limits and push her buttons to no end.

If you give a girl a brother, he will push buttons she didn't even know she had. He will dive her absolutely crazy. He will annoy her in every possible way, just like she will annoy him. My brother and I yell and fight every single day, my family can attest to it, but at the end of the day I love him no matter how annoying he may be.

When you give a girl a little brother, you give her her first job.

Being an older sibling is a job, there is no denying it! A little sibling will copy their older siblings, saying what they do, doing what they do, eating what they do. As much as it annoyed me, my brother used to copy every single thing I did. Knowing him, he probably just did it because he knew it annoyed me so much.

When you give a girl a brother, you give her someone to make her laugh.

My little brother will do just about anything to make me laugh and smile when I am upset. If I am crying or seem upset in any way he will run up and give me the biggest hug, or he will randomly tell me he loves me and it will always make me smile.

When you give a girl a brother, you give her a new relationship with God.

In more ways than one my brother has helped me grow in my faith and my relationship with God. From hearing him talk about the lessons they learned in chapel that week, to seeing the way he goes about his day in a way that gives all the glory to Him. He may only be 8 years old but he knows more about God and his own faith than I did at his age.

When you give a girl a brother, you give her a best friend for life.

My brother may be 11 years younger than me and he may drive me up a wall on a daily basis, but he will forever be one of my best friends and I will always love him no matter what.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
