Heart beats will race,
As ear drums may pound.
The slightest touch of his hand
Brushing against her cheek.
Their eyes meet again
As if it were for the time.
Tears stroll down her cheek
When he hugs her good-bye.
Her tears collapse on his uniform.
As she laid her head on his shoulder,
He kissed her forehead and picked up his bag.
The young lady remembered
What he said the night before.
I will fight for love.
Fight for our county.
I will fight for you,
And I will be home soon.
As she remembered these words,
And watched the plane take off,
Another small tear strolled down her cheek.
