Goodbye, Agent Derek Morgan

Goodbye, Agent Derek Morgan

Shemar Moore is officially saying farewell to "Criminal Minds" after 11 seasons on the CBS network. The beautiful, funny, draw dropping Shemar Moore has played FBI special agent Derek Morgan since the show started, but at the end of the episode on March 23, fans had to say goodbye to him.

In this episode, special agent Derek Morgan chooses to leave the BAU to focus on his wife and child after being tortured and nearly killed. In reality, Shemar Moore walked away from "Criminal Minds" in order to be able to start a family and travel without the torturous work schedule. Even though Shemar Moore has left the show on good terms, fans are still incredibly sad to see him go. Moore has always been a piece of eye candy for viewers. His character was one that viewers continuously fell in love with. He didn't make the show better, but in a sense he did make the show better.

We all fell head over heels in love with Derek Morgan every time he called Penelope Garcia "baby girl." After all, cute nicknames are most every girls weakness and when this hunky man says it, who wouldn't melt?

With that being said, he is the best friend to countless characters on the show. Penelope Garcia and Spencer Reid look up to Derek Morgan and truly love that beautiful, tall man. He is the type of friend that brings out the best in both of them.

When it comes to Dr. Spencer Reid, Agent Morgan is not only one of his best friends but he also has a wonderful way of introducing him. He says it with such a stern, yet pleasant voice. It adds extra emphasis to the intelligent doctor's name. And to top it all off, Spencer Reid is such an important part of Derek Morgan's life that he even used Spencer as his son's middle name.

We all swooned every time Derek Morgan used the L word. He didn't say it frequently but when he did, we all wished that we were on the receiving end of it. The good thing about television is that it looks like he is saying it directly to us. We can pretend, right?

Along with being a good friend Agent Morgan is always just a phone call away. Sometimes he is the one who relies on his friends instead of it being the other way around.

On his happier days, Derek Morgan has a handsome, devilish smirk that can be seen in the conference room. It doesn't matter who is talking or what the subject is, whenever this smirk is seen the world stops spinning for a moment. That smirk will be missed.

And of course, we are all going to miss Agent Derek Morgan shirtless.

Thank you, Shemar Moore for being our special agent Derek Morgan for 11 seasons. No one will ever be able to replace you at the BAU.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
