A Good Luck to the Boys of Fall

Fall is here which means the best time of year is too: Football Season! Finally, the boys of fall are among us. Young men have been working their tails off in off season, 2-a-days and in pre-season scrimmages, now let the actual games begin! For most of us, all levels of football are exciting and highly anticipated. Whether it's junior high, high school, college or the national football league, we all have our team that we take pride in and support full heartedly. So here is a good luck to them for all of their hard work in hopes of a great season!

Good luck to the incoming freshmen football players.

Who may be looking to get his name out there and to make an impact in their high school or college football program. Anxious feelings are sure to take over you but your hard work in off season will surely pay off. The older guys are to be looked up to not feared. I truly hope you make your mark and great memories in your new and more intense football atmosphere. Practice and play every game like it could be your last, because you never really know when it really could be and in the blink of an eye it will be your senior year.

Good luck to the players returning from an injury.

All the physical pain and waiting is over. Play fearlessly for some did not get the chance to return. All the rehabilitation was worth it so have a worthwhile and special season. I hope you make amazing memories with your best friends. Playing after an intense injury is never the same but the lessons you learn while persevering are what's truly important. Don't let it hold you back from doing what you love! Play your heart out.In the end, it will make you a not only a stronger athlete, but person (physically and mentally).

Good luck to the football seniors.

All the years and memories playing this game and it all comes down to this season. I hope you don't let bitter coaches or selfish players stop you from enjoying and going all-out your senior year. Remember the reasons you began to play and what makes it so enjoyable for you because one day it will be over. You have played the game for so long so leave it all out on that field this season. Senior year is an eye opening experience, especially when it means playing the sport you love with your best friends for the last time. Who knew there was life after the game, right? Well, there is. All the memories of playing football with your buddies, those awesome wins and even those heartbreaking loses will last forever. Have the best season you ever had and play every down like it is your last!

Good luck to the hopeful recruits.

Although there is pressure and so much on the line, don't forget to enjoy it. When you are having fun playing the game you love, that is when an athlete truly plays at their best. I hope you have no regrets about your off season work outs and are ready for what is to come this football season. Put your best face and game forward when playing in front of and meeting those coaches. Everything happens for a reason, so where you end up attending university and playing football is right where you are meant to be.

Good luck to the the first time players.

You may go to love this sport of football or dislike it, but trying something new is always exciting. Playing football will teach you so many great life lessons for your future and make you so many friends along the way. You have the possibility to make so many great triumphing memories and even disappointing ones, but that is life is and playing a sport will change you and help you over come its obstacles. Football, like any sport, has the chance to be more than just a game to an individual. I hope it becomes that for you.

Good luck to the boys of fall, whoever specifically they may be.

We, as your fans and supporters, have faith in you. We hope you will outperform every opponent to the fullest of your capabilities and give all the glory to Him while doing so. Leave it all out on the field, every down, every inch... Take pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you will go. Along the way remember that it is never about the destination, but about the journey. (But winning a championship sure does taste a little sweeter in the end). Good luck and enjoy this football season, wherever the journey of it takes you.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
