Let's admit it, eating healthy is a struggle. Sometimes, you crave pizza. Sometimes you crave every horrible thing for you. I'm here to tell you there's a middle ground for us. For one, I could literally eat pizza for every meal of every day, but let's be real, that's not the best idea. Let me enlighten y'all on GOOD food that's actually good for you.

Cauliflower

Let's stat specifically with cauliflower as a pizza crust alternative. if you get this at an actual establishment it'll be pretty good. If you get this at a grocery store (aka something frozen) it could go south pretty quick. Personally, my favorite is Pieology's cauliflower crust pizza. Low carb pizza? I'm basically in paradise. For one, you can't even tell that the crust is made out of cauliflower and not actual dough. Also if you enjoy cauliflower in the first place, this will be an even easier transition for you. On another note, cauliflower is versatile on its own and can be played up with your favorite flavors. Make buffalo cauliflower bites, or mash it up for a mashed potato alternative. The possibilities are endless.

Sweet Potatoes

Growing up, I never liked sweet potatoes. They were mushy and gross. Now I can't get enough of them, as long as they're seasoned right you will be good to go.

Acai

I'm more of a veggie than fruit fan, but rest assured because you can get your fruit intake from blended fruits woohoo!! Acai is packed with antioxidants that benefit your brain, heart, and overall health. You can always add fun ingredients such as granola, nuts, honey, oats, coconut, or more fruit!

Avocados

I know you're probably tired of hearing about avocados, but let's be honest, they're pretty darn good. It's low carb and has more potassium than bananas!

Olive Oil

Also loaded with antioxidants, olive oil also has anti-inflammatory properties. It can help prevent the cholesterol in our blood from being oxidized therefore preventing the process that causes heart disease!! Extra virgin olive oil is a great option to cook with because it can withstand high heat temperatures. Try this drizzled over your favorite veggies!

Stevia

For those who have a sweet tooth and are trying to avoid white sugar, Stevia is definitely for you. It's a sugar substitute that's extracted from the Stevia plant. It has no calories and is 200 times sweeter than sugar, so a little goes a long way.

Asparagus

With a low flavor profile, you can really change up and customize asparagus to your taste preferences. Drizzle with olive oil and garlic to pair it with your protein of choice, or get creative and make it citrusy, spicy, or whatever flavor you're craving. It's a good source of fiber and can help break down carcinogens which may protect against and fight certain forms of cancer.

Protein pasta/veggie substitute pasta

Who doesn't love pasta? Enjoy it more often with protein pasta you can find in stores, or pasta that is made out of various veggies such as zucchini, carrots, or chickpeas. Once you customize it, your pasta craving will definitely be satisfied.

While it'll come down to your personal preferences and dietary restrictions, there's no harm in trying new things and adjusting as needed!

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
