Everyone has music that they listen to when they are sad, when they are happy, when they want to sign and dance, and some that is just pleasing to listen to. For me, my mom raised me and my brother on country music. While I listen to other things now that I am older, I know that when I miss being young that I can rely on country music to bring me comfort. Here are some of my favorite songs to sign to.
1. “Why Don’t We Just Dance” by Josh Turner
Josh Turner's beautiful deep voice can make anyone want to sign along and dance.
2. “Love Story” by Taylor Swift
3. “Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum
4. “Goodbye Earl” by Dixie Chicks
The Dixie Chicks are amazing no matter what they do, but this song is just so fun to sing along to.
5. “You Belong With Me” by Taylor Swift
Yes, Taylor Swift again. No, she is no longer country but I still admire her old music and love it just as much.
6. “Come Back Song” by Darius Rucker
7. “Sin Wagon” by Dixie Chicks
8. “Chicken Fried” by Zac Brown Band
9. “Wagon Wheel” by Old Crow Medicine Show
This feel good song is always a good one to end the night.
10. “Hillbilly Bone” by Blake Shelton feat. Trace Adkins
11. “How Do You Like Me Now?!” by Toby Keith
12. “Baby’s Got Her Blue Jeans On” by Mel McDaniel
13. “Better Things to Do” by Terri Clark
This song makes me so proud to be a woman. It is a girl telling a boy that she has better things to do than be sad about him, which is super empowering.
14. “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” by Toby Keith
15. “Strawberry Wine” by Deana Carter
16. “Me and My Gang” by Rascal Flatts
17. “Our Song” by Taylor Swift
18. “Follow Your Arrow” by Kacey Musgraves
Another great song that is empowering. Always remember to be who you are and not let anyone else's judgments bring you down.
