Good Character Goes a long Way

Having good character does go a long way. Ever since I was younger I was raised from the womb to always be nice and have good character to every person you encounter.

I am fortunate enough to say that it is true if you are nice to one person they are usually most of the time nice back. Yes, there are some people that are just always angry but in the end, deep down they have a good character.

In many situations throughout my life thus far I have come across many situations where I knew that by me being a good person that it would go a long way. Friends of mine sometimes would wonder well why would I include so and so in our plans and this and that. However, in the long run, the person that I included appreciated it. It was time they got to spend with my friends and I getting to know us and adapting more to our friend group.

I find that as you grow up the nicer you are to people the nicer they are back. For example, I recently traveled down to Singer Island in Palm Beach for vacation and while I was on vacation I was able to meet people from all over. The reason that I go to meet them was because of good character. They were so friendly and nice, they just started talking to my family and I. That is an example of being nice and friendly. There is no need to get all defensive and annoyed that someone is trying to have a conversation with you like most people perceive when random people that you do not know start talking to you.

Good character goes a long way because people see that you have a good heart and are just trying to please everyone by being nice. I have been told many times by multiple people that I have such good character because I am a good sport. When things don't go my way I do not get angry and pout and whine I just move on.

The moral of the story is to be a good person by having good character.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
