The Body-Positive Denim Revolution

Good American Jeans have officially launched.

The whole Kardashian clan is well-known for being entrepreneurs. So it was no surprise that Khloe joined the fam and launched her own denim line. Khloe and business partner Emma Grede cofounded Good American.

The first collection dropped yesterday, October 18th on Nordstrom and the Good American website. What I was particularly excited for with this launch, is the message behind Good American. The brand carries jeans, sizes 0 to 24. Khloe already stated that she doesn't want her line to be called "plus size". She wants the line to be known to fit any and all women. The jeans vary in price from $149-$215. At first look you might be wondering, why so much for plain blue jeans? What makes this line so different is the contour waistbands, stitching, and special fabrications. With 3 different silhouettes, skinny (Good Legs), high-waisted (Good Waist), and boyfriend (Good Cuts). If you struggle finding a precise fit of jean, Emma and Khloe set out to rock your world.

Both women shared their body-positive passions and wanted their line to represent all women. Empowering such women to feel confident and sexy in jeans that fit to their curves without alterations. This launch is a huge step in fashion regarding body image. Another clothing brand, Aerie, stepped up and included curvier women in their ads as well as unedited photos. With brands like Aerie and Good American, they're knocking down barriers and making a statement.

What's pretty cool about their campaign is that they recruited real women and fans instead of models, they sent out a message on social media a few months back and got an overpowering response. Featuring women from all different backgrounds, plus they also didn't edit the photos!

A quote off of the Good American website "Fashion should be made to fit women, not the other way around." I am so ecstatic about this brand and the message they're sending to all generations. Also, who doesn't love a designer jean at a good price?! I will proudly be supporting the Good American brand and (hopefully) purchasing my first pair before they sell out!

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
