Life brings both immense happiness and sadness. These are the 8 things I learned about the sad stuff.

1. Someone will always have it better but someone will also always have it worse.

As bad as things may seem and as bad as they probably are there is always someone going through worse. On the other hand, there is always someone living with not a worry in the world. Sometimes its frustrating to see so many people living life so easily while your problems seem everlasting but use that as motivation. Use the good people to stay motivated and the bad ones to stay humble. Always be grateful for what you have.

2. It always gets better.

As you grow up you become more and more in control of your life and thats when you get to the point where you get to make all the decisions. No one has control of your life. No one can make decisions or do things you don't agree with. You make all the decisions for yourself. Things begin to look up and experiences that may seem painful now may have some benefit to you later on in life.

3. You'll be heart broken but you'll heal.

Heartbreak comes in all forms, its not always a relationship. I’ve had friends, family, and boyfriends break my heart. I guess you could say heartbreak comes in a lot of shapes and sizes; It could be anything from losing a job to a life long friend betraying you. The important thing is that you grieve and move on. Don’t stay stuck on any heartbreak for too long because I promise you that you will look back in a few years and regret the time wasted. Time moves on, you need to do the same.

4. The pain and suffering you experience today will make for a stronger tomorrow.

Going through shit sucks but it makes you a hell of a lot stronger. Little problems wont bother you after you go through big problems. Use yesterday's suffering to build tomorrow's success. Let it motivate you. Twist your painful experiences and force it to have a positive impact on your life instead of a negative one.

5. You’ll know who your best friends are.

The people who stick around to help you through your difficult times are the people you want in your life forever. To have a friend be there for the good days but more importantly for the bad days is a friend worth having. If someone can be there for you and I mean truly be there for you at your worst, you’ve lucked out because you found an invaluable friend.

6. If you can survive this, you can survive anything.

If you ever thought you couldn't survive you're wrong because you’ve already made it through whatever it is that tried to tear you down. Look where you are now. Look how far you’ve come. Try to imagine how far you’ll go.

7. Never stop smiling.

No matter how dark your days are there is still so much to be grateful for. It’s not what happens it’s how you deal with it. That was a little saying my Mom used to tell me when things weren't going well. Your attitude is what will make all the difference. I can tell you from personal experience it is all how you deal with it. If you chose to be miserable and feel bad for yourself, thats your choice and I promise you that you will indeed feel miserable. If you try to make the best out of every situation, remain grateful for the good things you have in your life, and try to take every bad thing that happens to you as a learning lesson, you will find happiness.

8. Never lose sight.

You only have one life and I promise you its going to pass more quickly than you think. Don’t waste it; love the life you live. Never lose sight of the things you want in life. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you no matter how difficult things may be. Do not let a few bumps in the road or even some road blocks stop you from achieving greatness. Use every detour as a learning lesson. Let it break you down because that's what life does. It breaks you down but it’s your responsibility to build your self back up. Don’t let the shit you’ve gone through prevent you from your dreams, your desires, your hopes, and everything you want in this world. Everything and anything is possible. Stay positive.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
