Attempting a Healthy Lifestyle as Told by New Girl

Nothing is more difficult than being a poor college student trying to eat healthy. We can all relate to the NEED to order Domino’s when ending the night at 2 in the morning… So here’s exactly what it’s like to go on a diet told by Jess, Nick, Cece, Schmidt, Winston and Coach…

1. Feeling like a whole new person after working out ONE time

2. When you give yourself a cheat day and somebody questions your logic

3. When you're 1 week into eating healthy and hangry becomes an understatement

4. Coaching yourself through not stopping at McDonalds between classes

5. When the exercise part of losing weight is getting to be a little too much

6. When you drop exactly 1 pound

7. Looking back on your decision to begin a healthy lifestyle

8. Beginning to record what you're eating and when you're working out like

9. Having to convince yourself not to eat a whole chocolate cake in one sitting

10. When your diet starts to slowly crumble

11. And all of the sudden healthy food and exercising is the last thing on your mind

12. Attempting to make up for your cheat day(s) eating nothing the next day

13. And then realizing you will NEVER be able to do this

14. When your will power is LACKING...

15. And finally you just give in, and another attempt at a healthy lifestyle is over

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
