How We All Really Feel About Going Back To School

We all stress over little things when going back to school. These are just a few of the main ones that come to my mind when I think about it. Sometimes it's hard to get back in the swing of things because most of us like the overthink the situation. But we all know it'll work out in the end as long as we push through. Hope you enjoy!

1. Why do I have to pay so much for books that I will never use again?

Honestly, why do the books cost so much when tuition is already outrageous?

2. I should probably find a job..

Since most of us get full time summer jobs, we won't have a job when we head back to campus full time. So the job hunt begins all over again if we have any hope of eating something off campus.

3. Should I wear my pajamas or jeans to class?

It's hard to get back into the swing of things, even if you were

working all summer. Waking up and actually getting ready seems useless when you're just going to sit in a classroom for a few hours.

4. I have class at 10, when I get back, I'm taking a nap.

Between stressing about the daily things then adding on how much classes stress us out, we all need a little nap here and there just to keep us on track.

5. Stop asking me if I'm ready for school to start back up.

In all reality we're just ready to graduate. School is great and all but jobs that pay more than $7 an hour are so much better.

6. Of course we will miss home when we head back to school.

Although we often complain about our home towns and cannot wait for school to start back; we appreciate our small town so much more once we have the chance to miss it.

7. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that it will all be worth it in the end and it won't be too much longer before we embark on a new chapter in our lives.

Don't get me wrong. I love college, I love going to school and learning in general. I love the professors and life long friends that I am making along the way, but I've been in school what seems like my whole life. And I am so excited for the chance to do something different.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
