90's kids know Hillary Duff as Lizzie McGuire and can personally relate to her problems in school. Going back to school, whether in high school or college, brings the same problems year after year.
Not being ready for endless hours of homework each night.
Between classes, jobs, sports, and clubs, the last thing you want to think about is homework. When teachers/professors say due tomorrow, they mean DO tomorrow.
Back to school shopping is a must.
It doesn't matter if you just went shopping last month. Back to school shopping is a must! It's the best times to reinvent yourself just in time for the upcoming academic year. Then about a few months later you will complain that you have nothing to wear and then go shopping again. It is a vicious cycle.
Moving back out on your own but your parents still want you back home.
Living at your parent's house is a nice for a month but after that you cannot wait to go back to school. Yeah sure free food, laundry, and rent is nice but you miss your friends and living on your own. You will always be your parent's baby but it's time to fly the coop (until you need laundry done).
Having to sign up for classes you don't need/like.
Everyone has been there. Why do I have to take chemistry if I'm never going to use it? Or why do I need a fine arts class? Generals suck. High school is basically all generals. Then you get to college where you have to take most of them AGAIN! You just want to get into courses that are relevant to your career.
Living on your own is not like your expectations.
Going back to school is bittersweet but no one really wants to give up summer.
