June 5th, 2016, is the day I was born. Although June 5th is not actually my birthday it was the day I was reborn in my Christian faith and got baptized. I will never forget that day because I let everyone who knows me know that I am strong in my faith.
That is not the point of this article. The point is to tell you that God is good. He is perfect, and the best decision I ever made in my life was to put my life in Jesus Christ’s hands. His love for us all is unreal and never-ending. The fact that I am typing this now, though, makes me different, and I stand out to some of you. It may be in a good way, or it may be in a bad way, but either way I stand out. And that is okay because a great friend of mine once told me that the ultimate goal for me, as, a Christian, is to be as much like Jesus Christ as possible. Therefore, I am going to stand out. If Jesus lived in one of our homes, He would stand out, because He is perfect. Now, I am not implying that I am perfect or, for that matter, better than anyone, but I am trying to be like my savior Jesus Christ and I will do my best to be obedient because Jesus died for us. He was lashed 39 times, nearly bleeding to death, and then was nailed to a cross all so I can be forgiven of my sins. God sent us His only son and let Him die so I would not have to worry about being imperfect and making a bad decision here and there. The great thing about that is, Jesus is going to love you no matter what color your skin is, what color hair you have, what shoes you wear, or what you have done. Jesus will take you wherever you stand, and he will work wonders in your life.
Some of you have experienced this never-ending love from Jesus Christ, and some of you are in the process of letting Him into your life. Either way, that is okay. For those of you who are afraid to unveil your love for Christ (and believe me, more people than you would think are afraid to let this out) I challenge you to take that step and hand your life completely to Christ. “But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in Heaven.” (Matt. 10:33)
