God is full of grace and truth. "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14). Many times we like to pick and choose whether we want the grace aspect of Jesus or the truth aspect of Jesus, rather than realizing that grace and truth are a package deal--they are not meant to be contrasted or separate from each other.

Where you have the Grace of God, there the truth of God will be also and vice versa. God never intended for us to separate His grace and truth from each other. In fact, when we separate grace and truth, often times it leads to a misunderstanding of them both. It's our misunderstanding of grace that leads others to think it is okay to sin. Individuals who only choose to accept the grace aspect of God forget that He also instructs us with truth. In fact, the truth of God refers to that which is consistent with God's character. Since God is perfect, His character does not align with the world's sinful desires and passions. Individuals who only choose to accept the truth aspect of God is what can make others feel condemned for sins they struggle with or sins they have dealt with in their past. Thankfully, since we are not perfect, God extends grace to us.

As you may be able to see, we cannot have grace without truth and truth without grace. We serve a God who brings us grace and truth as a package, which is not meant to be separated. "For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17). Together grace and truth save souls and teach us about the character of God. "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It [truth] teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age." (Titus 2:11,12) In order for us to be all in for Christ and serving him, we have to choose to accept the grace and truth aspects of His character.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
