"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."- Psalm 19:1
Today, I took a walk through the Bamboo Forest in Wilderness Park and it was truly remarkable. Just alone, the drive to Prattville was breathtaking to see the beautiful clouds in the sky. Then walking through the actual forest of bamboo was pretty incredible to just see it naturally growing in the ground, and I'm not used to it since I'm from Tennessee and we have clay and rocks. Then I "Eno-ed" and just laid there for about an hour looking up in the sky and admiring the trees and how green they were. Later on, I walked down the creek bed and enjoyed the fact that the cool water cut the heat from me since it was 101 degrees in Southern Alabama in the middle of August. I then stood there and saw all the different insects and aquatic animals that were swimming in the creek.
Thinking about God's power and how beautiful His creation is, is honestly pretty amazing. It was so humbling to even think about that the Lord above wanted to share His power and glory with us. Especially with the plants that he has created that give the rest of us oxygen so we can breathe fresh air on a daily basis. Plus, the flowers that show the beauty and splendor of how HE has created some of the colors that are unimaginable, but yet happen to grow and bloom every Spring. Admiring the clouds in the beautiful blue sky on a sunny day. Then looking at how bamboo could grow in such a place in Alabama and not in Tennessee. He created everything to be put in a specific place for a reason. The same reason why sand is at the beach down south and why snow stays up north. I do not know why He does that, but it all works for the best and for a purpose.
I cherish these moments that I get to spend in God's creation and just sit there and breathe the fresh air, look at the brilliant flowers and take in amazement the stature of the trees and how they give us shade on a scorching day in August. From walking through the nature trail, to going up to the Smokey Mountains in East Tennessee, and going back down South to the sandy beaches of Florida and seeing the breathtaking ocean that spans out for miles upon miles. All of these depict a taste of what we see in God's creation, just down South. If you go out to the West, or even up North, you will see even more magnificent sceneries that the Lord above has had the pleasure and mercy of His love and grace to share it with us.
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."-Romans 1:20
