Even On Our Worst Days, God Is In Control

We must remember that God is always with us.

Have you ever had a day that you just wanted to end? When you thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. I have had many of these days. In fact I had one just the other day.

It all started off when I woke up late. That made me late for work. Then I got to class and found out I did my assignment all wrong and when I got my homework back from my group project I saw that I did not do as well as I wanted to. Then as I tried to go to the grocery store my car wouldn't start. My friend came to jump my car and I was on my way, or so I though. I got to the grocery store, but when I came out my car wouldn't start again. I was to nervous to go back in the store to get help especially since I did not have any jumper cables. I decided to walk to the university to find a friend to help me, considering my phone had died in the store.

What happened to make my day rough is not the point. The point is what happened in between those moments. While I was sitting in my car turning the key hoping in would start, I started crying. I was so mad. How was this actually happening to me. As I was crying I realized that God was with me the whole time. He totally had a plan.

God knew I would find a friend who had jumper cables and was willing to help me. God knew that everything was going to work out even though. I felt like I was having the worst day ever. Even on our worst days HE is still in control.

No matter how you feel remember that your going to be ok and make it through. God has got you and he will never let you go. God is bigger.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
