Have you or someone close to you ever been in a situation where you needed God to do something utterly unfathomable and mighty in your life and yet everyone around you made sure that you would understand that “life, just isn’t that way!” “People don’t get healed randomly, God doesn’t just deliver you from your “adversaries” just cause he can, God doesn’t just ‘fix’ things”! Wow! With that said It’s no wonder it doesn’t happen, we are a culture full of unbelief and if we aren’t already full of it, everyone around us will make sure we realize how foolish we are to believe the miraculous! Just think how much disbelief is costing us!
What is so threatening to believers when someone else has faith? What is so threatening about being positive and believing that God is mighty and wants to do mighty things in our lives? Why does the miraculous seem so far out of our reach when we serve the God who has created everything. Who has loved us enough to give His son’s life for ours so we can spend eternity with
The crazy thing about all of this is in our disbelief we don't even ask, yet we get angry when God doesn't grant our every desire. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
So, what will you choose for today? For myself, I am choosing to believe that I serve an amazing mighty God who is looking for a way to show Himself as mighty as mighty in my life today! I am choosing to believe that, however He answers, it is for my good and that He is always good and will always do what is right and best for me. I am choosing to believe that He is about to do something great, that He will hear my prayers and that the best is truly yet to come!
“Faith don't come in a bushel basket, Missy. It comes one step at a time. Decide to trust Him for one little thing today, and before you know it, you find out He's so trustworthy you be putting your whole life in His hands.”
