Do you ever just look at your dog and think to yourself, "What did I ever do to deserve you?" Because same.
I strongly believe that dogs are one of Gods greatest creations for many reasons.
First off, when have they ever let you down? Anytime you come home your dog runs up to you and greats you with the most affection you've ever been shown. Your dog is never in a bad mood, anytime they hear the door open they will be more than excited to see you again. Anytime your eating your dog will be right next to you or at your feet waiting for crumbs to drop, which in my eyes is keeping you company and being a great friend.
Your dog knows when your upset or sick and will lay by your side until you are back to normal. Dogs honestly have to have a sixth sense or something because they always know when something is wrong, and always know exactly what to do to cheer you up.
And most importantly, dogs never talk back or get tired of listening to your drama every single day. Dogs will sit there and listen to you blab on and on about the rough day you had at work, or all the traffic you sat in and will not interrupt you or tell you they have had enough. I have been lucky enough to have had a childhood dog. I cannot imagine growing up without my little fluff ball puppy.
I got my dog Bailey when I was in fourth grade. He is the first dog my family and I have ever had, and although he hates me (literally bites me anytime I try to pet him) I am forever grateful to have had him in my life the past 11 years. Weird to admit but my dog has taught me many things about life.
Bailey has taught me to enjoy the little things in life. Although to him these little things are car rides, walks, or treats, he really has opened my eyes to seeing that life isn't as bad as it may seem. Every day there is something to be grateful and thankful for and it is important to find something each day that makes you feel those ways. My dog has taught me to always love unconditionally.
Dogs know how to love unconditionally and will love anyone they meet. Dogs don't care whether you are rich or poor, smart or dumb, or right or wrong. As long as we give them our hearts, they will give us theirs and love us through the good the bad and all of the in-between. I will never understand how we got so lucky with dogs, but I sure am not complaining.
