God has more in store for us!

Revelation 3:8 says: "I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."

God has more in store for us!

"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
--Philippians 1:6

I wanted to go more in depth with what I mentioned in the word for December that God gave to me where he wasn't finished yet. It opened my eyes to a new reality because in the previous years, December was a month to rest and just celebrate what happened in 2016. This is not the case for me this year. I feel like the year isn't over yet, and I feel like I am still expecting for God to do radical shifts in my life and in the lives of those around me.

The second part of that word is that he has more in store for us! There are places that we haven't crossed yet and things that we haven't seen fulfilled! There is so much that we haven't yet seen or heard God do. There are a lot of goals that we didn't accomplish. In order for us to walk in that midst of abundance and grace, we must be willing to walk by faith.

December is the accumulation of all the previous months of 2016.

Maybe we subconsciously know this, but when I heard this for the first time it was like an atomic bomb that hit me. Just like how the book of Revelation is the accumulation of the previous books of the Bible, the same way, December is every month put together. If December is the result, why can it not be the best month? Why can't December be the one where we receive the best breakthroughs, open-doors, finances, or miracles?

It is more than just a preparation month for 2017.

In the previous years, I always did this. I prepared myself for another year, and ended up waiting for January to get on track or to fix my life in certain or specific areas. This isn't the same mindset that I have going into the new year. My mind is fixed on the present, not the future. December is to receive what we have longed to accept from God. It is for God to pour his blessings over his children, and reward them for their service in private.

He will open radical doors for all of his faithful sons and daughters.

"I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."
Revelation 3:8

This was powerful when I read this morning! God knows our deeds, and he has placed an open door before us. No one will be able to shut it, not even Satan himself! I am expecting, believing, and praying for this word to become life in me and in those around me! If you agree to this word and receive this message, join me in prayer and in declaring for this word to be fulfilled. All the faithful has poured their hearts out to Jesus throughout this year, and we have witnessed a mighty harvest! But 2017 will release more!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
