Do you imagine God fighting for you right now? Or do you imagine He's fighting against you?
Do you imagine Him facing you with His arms open for you? Or do you not see Him at all?
Ponder your answers, and meditate on this truth.
Your truth.
He didn't put on your chains,
He broke them.
He isn't a spectator of our battles,
He is our savior in our battles.
He says, "stand firm behind me and I will absorb the blows.'
He says, "I defeated death for you, so trust me."
He says, "I already won the battle and it is finished and always will be. Your past, present and future is safe with me."
For he who is in Him is greater than he who is in the world.
You might imagine His back towards you or His absence, but you are relying on sight.
Faith is believing without sight.
He is standing firmly in front of you because He is omnipresent and your protector. He goes before you.
So, with all of this and you in mind
He asks, "will you surrender…
your heart, your sight, your mind, your body, your control, and your life to me?"
Stop relying on your own sight and understanding because our God has all sight and all understanding.
Lean on that promise that you don't have to see or understand. We have the opportunity to give up our control to the One who has all authority. Although this is the full life you were made for, He will not force himself on you because He is a gentleman.
So, will you invite Him in?
