I wait all year long for the holiday season to come and this year the “Glow up” is real. Forget Frosty the snowman, this year the only frost you’ll need is on your face. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, this season strobing/highlighting your cheekbones has been the IT thing in the makeup world. Celebrate this holiday season by frosting your skin with the season’s most popular highlighters. Who knows maybe your secret Santa will bless you with one of these palettes on your Holiday list!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Ultimate Glow
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Ultimate Glow is a collection of six limited edition powder highlighters available in shimmering luster and metallic pearl finishes. You can mix these shades and layer them together or they can also be worn separately.
NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette
This next palette will add glow to your complexion! It isthe NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette, which comes with seven different
powder highlighters. This palette is the perfect option for a solid beginner makeup
collection, best part of it all it goes for less than $20!
Star Light, Star Bright Highlighting Palette
This Stila trio is a little higher price wise, but they’re definitely worth it. This trio can be used for your everyday makeup or you can build it up to have an intense strobed look.
Colour Pop Highlighter
One of my favorite highlighters at the moment is from Colour Pop. Not only is it less than $10 but it is very pigmented. They have various colors, the one I use is Wisp, and it’s a golden champagne highlighter with hues of gold, perfect for a bronzed strobed look. They’re also awesome to use as a base under any powder highlighter for a more pigmented look.
Jeffree Star Highlighters
I personally haven't tried any of the Jeffree Star highlighter yet, but I've heard amazing things about them. He has the basic cool tone, gold tone highlighters but he has also released some funkier colors, like the Deep Freeze or Lavender Snow highlighters. These highlighters are for sure on my Christmas/Birthday list. (Yes, early holiday gifts are welcomed)
High Beam Liquid Face Highlighter
Last but not least this is another one of my go-to highlighters. This high beam liquid highlighter is from benefit. I love using this on an everyday basis, as a base for my powder highlighters and sometimes I even like mixing it with my foundation when I want to go for a more dewy look. It's perfect for any summer day or a frosty winter night.
