In the wake of the DNC, Hillary Clinton has officially become the democratic nominee. As you would expect, it was not all happy go lucky. There was a huge message sent during the convention. Many Bernie or Bust delegates and supporters walked out once Bernie Sanders motioned to nominate Hillary Clinton as the nominee. However, it was quite clear that so many of the major leaders in the democratic party that are ready for Hillary.
With outstanding speeches from President Obama, Michelle Obama, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Meryl Streep, Chelsea Clinton, Tim Kaine, Bill Clinton, and Hillary. It was also a star-studded evening with major celebrities. One of the most controversial moments was when the "American Sniper" Bradley Cooper was shown attending the convention. This was a clear message of solidarity towards making sure Donald Trump was not able to get into the Oval Office. There were messages of Diversity, Equality, Reform, and Unity.
As a democrat and young person, I want a leader who can make tough decisions and can handle the stress. Someone who will not lash out at others who do not agree with them. Someone who can work with both sides. Someone who will continue to help bridge the divide. And there is only one person I know who can do all those things and has continuously shown persistence to break that glass ceiling that has so many cracks.
And that person's name is Hillary Clinton....
