Relay For Life

At Starbucks today I saw this sign and I was compelled to share it everywhere as this is the message that we all need to adhere to in these troubled times that are facing our country now. It seems as though we are a very divided nation and the only way to bring us all together is to begin showing everyone that service to humanity is the best work of life. It is time for us to all find ways to make compassion and kindness rule our day. It is important for all of us to find common ground and create win-win situations in each encounter we have during the day. When you do good it has a ripple effect and as a result we experience a positive shift in our personal, professional, and spiritual life.

This week I received a package from the NFL to use in the fundraising efforts for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Sunrise. As I opened the package I began to feel a shift in my attitude toward the way I have been fundraising. Instead of focusing on those who did not return phone calls or who did not respond to my request for support or those who reported my messages as spam, I began to focus on those who are coming together to help in the effort to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. I began to seek more ways to do good. As a result my day improved and as a result I have had more successes. It is doing good and being of service and value to others that we attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into our lives. In assuming an attitude of gratitude we open up many channels to receive that also unlock the blockages that have held us back from stepping into our power and achieving the greatness that is our birth right.

I wrote away to X2 Energy after having one of their beverages at my local Subway to ask for them to assist me in my efforts to help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. They sent me 4 cases of their product and as a result, I have been promoting www.x2energy.com everywhere for I believe that if someone gives you support you should support them. In creating win-win situations and giving good you build relationships that will help you to succeed. It is when you give good that you are able to strengthen your brand and build your revenue as you never know how the person you are giving to will help your business. In giving good you need to be open to receive opportunities so that you can send the positive message to the universe that you are a cheerful giver.

It is important to make giving part of your personal and professional life for when you give and give cheerfully your actions are returned 10 fold. I have seen how giving cheerfully without any expectation of return has enhanced my life. A neighbor knocked on my door for help and I went to help her. I did not ask for anything and she gave me $5 for helping her. I share this to encourage you to make giving a good part of your everyday life.

One great way to give good is to visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg19 and make a donation. When you make a donation leave your business name and website in the comments in the participant section and you will receive some shout outs across the participants social media platforms. In giving good you will receive positive publicity which will strengthen your brand and potentially increase your revenue.

When you awaken in the morning make it a point to affirm that you will do something in the day to give good and that you will seek a positive outcome in all situations that you encounter through out the day. Make it a point to find ways to give good and then share how you are giving good so as to create more positivism in your personal and professional life. I encourage you to create positive results in your life by committing to giving good. In giving good you will experience bliss that will lead to abundance thus allowing you to manifest the life you desire.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
