When You Give A Girl A Passport

She might just decide to go ahead and see the world.

When You Give A Girl A Passport

When you give a girl a plane ticket, she's probably going to ask you for a passport. Once you give the girl her passport, she's probably going to want to see the world.

She's probably going to want to see the coast and try putting her feet in the water only to realize it's freezing.

She's also probably going to want to seek out all the beautiful places, the hidden gems that she's heard about and wants to experience (and photograph) for herself.

She's probably going to want to see the not-so-secret wonders of the world as well...

And when she starts to see all these new places, she's probably going to gain a newfound appreciation for art, history, and culture.

And when she gains all this new insight, she's probably going to want to see even more.

She's probably going to want to find all the elaborately decorated churches.

...and climb to the very top of each of them just to see the view that each of them holds.

She's probably going to want to see all the ancient ruins of a culture that she had learned so much about but is now rediscovering in a whole new light.

And after all this new sightseeing, church climbing, and a newfound appreciation for culture, she'll probably need to stop for a snack.

And when she stops for a snack, she'll probably discover the hassle of carrying a new kind of currency and not being able to use a credit card.

But she will find that not all hope is lost when she gets to taste the cuisine of a new culture (read: gelato and wine).

And of course the food will probably come with a killer view, and she will start to wonder why anyone ever settled to live anywhere else but here.

She'll actually start to wonder why she should settle for anything less after everything she's learned and seen.

And after a lot of thinking, she'll probably wonder why anyone had ever discouraged her from wanting to travel and see the world in the first place?

She might even start to dread coming back home, leaving such a beautiful place full of aesthetically pleasing sights at every turn.

When you give a girl a plane ticket, she'll probably realize her newfound love for traveling and experiencing everything the world has to offer.

She might even decide to come back...

She might even decide to move there for a semester.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
