Does that make me obsessed with food?

Do you ever walk around dhall and notice all the boys with plates piled high with pieces of pizza or mozzarella sticks (my personal favorite) and think to yourself, "why have I been cursed with the appetite of an 18-year old boy as a 21-year-old girl?" If that sounds anything like you, then you probably suffer from an appetite that's way to big for your own good. It's hard to find the right balance between eating enough to feel full and staying healthy, especially in college when things like delivery cookies (Red Eye anyone??) exist. Or the fact that your study breaks always seem to involve a snack. Here are six things that happen to us girls whose appetites are too big for our own good on a daily basis.

1. You plan your day around when you get to eat.

Each meal is a huge part of your day, and tbh something we all look forward to. On days where I have a morning class, I always think it's worth it to get up a little earlier to have breakfast, especially since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day (and dhall does breakfast better than any other meal). And if your schedule ever conflicts with getting lunch, basically your only option is to hope your professor lets you eat in class because if you go the day without lunch, let's just say you won't be the most pleasant girl on campus.

2. After every meal, you immediately start to plan out what your next meal will be.

This happens to me all the time. Even if I'm stuffed, I'll start thinking about what I want to eat next and when I'll have that next meal. Does that make me obsessed with food?

3. Snacks are essential.

Snacks are what get me through the day. Need a study break? Time for a snack. Or maybe you had an early dinner so it only makes sense that by 9 p.m. it's definitely time for a snack. And of course, if you ever get a break from school work and have time to watch Netflix, who in their right mind watches Netflix without a snack??

4. You try to eat healthy, but your portion sizes are out of control.

I pride myself in making great salads and actually enjoying them. Probably because they are piled literally to the top of the bowl with all sorts of things. By the time I get to my table, I can barely mix it because it's so big. But whatever, it's healthy right? I do love healthy foods and I like the way I feel after eating a healthy and balanced meal, my meals just may be on the larger side.

5. Working out daily justifies all the food I eat.

I'm thankful that I work out almost every day and enjoy doing it, so I don't feel too ridiculous for my obsession with food. After a workout, I will always be hungry.

6. The weekend NEVER COUNTS.

Like I said, I try my best to eat healthy. However, once the weekend arrives, it's time to celebrate making it through the week. I may eat an entire pizza by myself and be totally fine with it because, hey, it's the weekend. A girl's gotta treat herself occasionally.
