"You Are Beautiful In Every Single Way"

The way you look at yourself is a huge deal, and struggling with your body image is a huge problem among girls of all ages, myself included.

Being a girl is hard. there's hormones, our many many emotions and of course, boys. We all long to look like those Victoria Secret models and be able to wear all the cute new styles and to just fit in with everyone else, but let me tell you a little secret... None of that matters, because whether you are a size 2 or 22, you are absolutely beautiful and someone will always love you for you.

There are many reasons girls struggle with the way they look, and it really shouldn't be that way.

To the girls with a weight problem

Size is just a number and you should never let that number define who you are! You are an amazingly beautiful young woman with so much potential. Please don't let the size of your jeans stop you from being happy.

To the girls with the eating disorder

Whether its anorexia or bulimia you are still beautiful and when you're ready for help someone will always be there. You don't have to be a size 0 just to be beautiful. Beauty comes from within and every single girl in this world is beautiful.

To the girls with the scars

Those scars aren't a sign of weakness, they are a sign of how strong you really are. I know how hard it is too live with the scars, Whether they are self harm or other incidents, I know. Scars are beautiful, they tell a story of a beautiful girl that has had a little trouble along the way. Don't be ashamed of your scars, wear those shorts and tank tops. Find a cute swimsuit to wear. Show off your body because as soon as you start feeling comfortable in your own skin you will start feeling better all around. The best decision I ever made was to stop hiding my scars. You are beautiful and I may not know you, but I'm here for you.

To the girls who thinks makeup will help

Yes it's fun to dress up sometimes and put on a whole face of makeup, but darling, you don't need any of that to make you beautiful. I'm not saying don't wear makeup, you can wear as much as you want, but I want you to know that you are absolutely beautiful with or without it. Just do what makes you happy.

To every girl out there

You are all very smart, beautiful, and amazing women and please don't let anyone ever tell you any different. Being a girl in this society can be a daily struggle, not just because of body images but because we are all fighting our own battles. There are probably times where it feels like no one could ever possibly care about you or your problems, but I promise you that everyone has someone that will always be there for them through their worst times.

Even though you probably don't know me I will always be there for you. So if you feel like you are all alone just remember that I'll be here no matter what the situation is.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
