5 Simple Ways To Upgrade Your Next Girls Night In To A Unique, Unforgettable Night

Girls night is always fun. My high school best friends and I just had one, but we did a couple of things that took it to the next level. We created small things to make our girls night unique to us and to make it even more memorable. Here are some steps to help you do the same with your friends.

1. Pick a theme.

@katiekirkloves

By picking a theme or something that you all agree to stick to, the decision making for everything else becomes that much easier. My friends and I tried to keep everything summery and pink-ish. This made the decision for drinks, movies, and food so much easier.

2. Pick a drink and dinner.

@deetsandthings

My friends and I are terrible at making decisions and choosing what we want, so we assigned everyone in the group a section and make them decide in that section.

For example, I was in charge of drinks and I choose pink lemonade and virgin margaritas. My other friend was in charge of where to eat, and she chose to eat at our local Mexican restaurant to fit the theme.

3. Pick out and make snacks for the rest of the night after dinner.

@thecraftandglittershop

My friends and I decided to make our own gummy bears. We chose to add green apple and strawberry lemonade flavoring, and we bought the gummy bear molds and the unflavored gelatin off of Amazon. If you are over 21, they also have recipes for alcoholic gummy bears, but since we aren't 21 yet we just did regular ones!

4. Customize items for your group!

@mantequillaco

I surprised my friends with custom made cups with their initials on it. I just got cute little cups from the dollar store that were only a dollar. I then painted them each with their own color and then I put gold and translucent glitter on them. After they were painted and had glitter on them, I put spray glue on them to keep the glitter from falling off and let them dry!

5. Make a playlist.

Music is everything. Elect one of the group members to create a playlist, ideally the one who has the best taste in music. A small speaker is also ideal so everyone can still talk and enjoy each other's company while the music is playing. There should be a variety of music, some that will make everyone happy!

All of these steps will help take your girls' night to the next level, making it memorable and allowing you to have souvenirs from each one!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
