1. Finding a young male date:
Now it wouldn't seem that difficult now, would it? Talk to a couple boys, find one nice enough to accompany you for the evening, but no. Prom is a very stressful process - somewhat like babysitting. The night is much easier if your date has other friends there, if not it is just you and you have to keep them entertained the whole entire night.
2. The dress:
Because we all go to a catholic school there isn't a ton of people, so finding your own dress shouldn't be that hard. But it is. Finding a dress that meets the "guidelines" is not as easy as it seems. Especially when they send out the new rules two weeks before prom because that's when everyone buys their dress right? Nothing is better than a $400 dress that you can't return.
3. Pre Party:
With an approximate 50 girls in a grade you would think we could simply divide in two, maybe three. Or maybe the unthinkable have everyone in one place. With all girls pre-parties are very "shh don't tell anyone we might offend them." But in all actuality it's ridiculous that we can't have a gathering where all of us are together to take pictures.
4. Prom:
You walk in getting looked up and down at your dress. After that, we have the "most fun" we can have by performing the dance moves we have practiced during the middle of a study, or maybe even a physics class. But it is also the longest four hours in your entire life. A nice evening that no one would want to go to again.
