Girl Scouts are an amazing organization and they have helped me grow and learn as a person. They empower young girls to be leaders, action takers, and entrepreneurs.
In the Girl Scouts, girls from the age of five up to the age of seventeen can enjoy the wonderful benefits of Girl Scouts. From the amazing trips to the community service projects. It teaches girls how to help change the world for the better.
In the Girl Scouts, we like to help in our communities in any way shape or form. From helping in a soup kitchen, making goodie bags of food for the homeless, or giving cookies to soldiers going overseas.
We also love to learn about different cultures and about our past. On February 22nd is Girl Scout World Thinking Day. On that day as girl scout or girl guide, we get to learn about other cultures. From the games they play, the food they eat, and the things they do.
The same thing with Pow Wows, I love going to Pow Wows because not only are they fun but you see so many beautiful
Another thing that we love to learn about is about the girl scout past and how Girl Scouts got started. It all started with Juliette Gordon Lowe. With her nickname Daisy. She was the woman to start Girl Scouts and Girl Guides and boy has it grown.
I volunteer with a troop that has shown me how much Girl Scouts have grown since I was in it. From going to huge meetings to getting awards for service projects to helping younger girls. The girls that I see inspire me to be a better person.
They get to meet so many new people and make everlasting friendships and maybe a connection that may help them in the future. Because, in Girl Scouts, you can actually get a scholarship for college with the completion of the Gold Award. Completion of the gold award is very significant to a Scout.
The gold award is a project for the girls to help in their community by coming up with an idea that will be helpful and putting it into action. I hope to see my girls do amazing things and get their gold award.
I do encourage more young girls to get into girl scouts to learn more about their world and the things they can accomplish in life. The things they can learn and the people they can meet and the places they can go.
For years Girl Scouts and Girl Guides have been empowering young girls. Showing them they do have a voice in this world. In better ways than just one.
