Hey there pretty lady,

You are probably sitting on your bed, snuggled up in your favorite blanket, blasting music that makes you feel numb, and wishing that your mind would stop racing because you can’t take it anymore! I get it honey, I do, I am there way too often. And I know that you have stumbled upon this because you needed words of encouragement, and sweetie I’m here to give them to you, so listen close, okay!

You are hurting.

You are breaking.

You feel lost.

Things are so right, but so wrong at the same time.

You’re confused.

You feel all alone.

You feel like you have no one to confide in.

You fight back tears.

You force a smile.

You laugh that fake laugh.

Everyone believes you are just fine.

This list, its how you feel right now, isn't it?

My sweet friend, you are so brave and courageous, people envy you for it! The pain you are feeling right now is not going to last forever. You are going to overcome whatever is tearing your heart apart, just give it a little more time!

Life is also not a fairytale, which is why you may be feeling lost, but honey find your north star and follow it where ever it may take you. Before long you will find your tribe, you will find a place where you fit in.

You know you have everything you need, but you constantly feel like you are undeserving. Because of this, you are left confused because you want to feel happy, but you are scared to. Embrace everything you have and find true happiness because it will only all be taken from you if you allow it to be. Chin up my friend, you have a good thing going!

You are also not alone, and you do have people to confide in. You just need to stop and look around for a minute and see everyone that is around you. Once you do that, you will see you have wonderful people who will lend an ear and listen to you and offer you the help you are seeking! Don’t give up love, more people than you think care about you, promise!

Fighting back tears, forcing smiles and faking laughter. Those are all too common for you, I know! But every once in a while, let the tears fall, don’t smile, don’t laugh, and just let everything come out. Express everything you have been holding in, and cleanse yourself of all things that are making you feel the way you are feeling. Take a nice long bubble bath and forget the world for a moment. Find your center again and reassure yourself that you are a badass mother fu**er and you know what you are doing!

If everyone believes you are just fine, let them! The ones who care the most and know you the best, will see right through any of your bullshit, so if there are people who believe you when you say you are fine, disregard them, because they will not help you get to where you need to go!

And most important never ever forget that you are a badass mother f***er, and you have the world at your finger tips, and nothing is going to take that away from you! You will have bumps in the road, but that’s okay, because life isn’t suppose to be easy. Just keep your head held high, your goals in sight, and go kick ass!! We are all cheering you on!!

Sincerely,

A fellow Badass Mother F***er

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
