To the girl who doesn’t think she’s enough,
For whatever reason, you don’t believe in yourself. You think you’re unloved, unwanted, and unappreciated, but this is far from the truth.
You are loved by more people than you know.
You will figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life.
You will find Mr. Right.
You don’t need to look like an airbrushed super model.
I’m not sure what else you are struggling with, but I know what it is like to struggle. I can’t write to you and tell you to stop struggling, because I’m not the type of person who is under the perception that life can be full of happiness and sunshine, if you simply believe that it can be. The truth is, everyone will encounter obstacles throughout their life. Some might do so more gracefully than others, but pain always finds its way into people’s lives at some point. I’m just here to tell you that it’s okay.
It’s okay not to have your life figured out, because everything will fall into place soon enough. If you’re feeling less than your best, it’s okay to cry about it. If you’ve been craving cookie dough ice cream for the past week and a half, its okay to eat a bowl.. or two.
Give yourself some credit for everything you’ve accomplished. You’ve made it this far in life without completely losing it, even though you might’ve come close a couple of times. You’ve aced tests that seemed impossible, found new friendships after toxic ones ended, and have lived through the many dramatic, frustrating snapchat updates, and you’ll live through those that have yet to come.
Let’s face it, you are awesome. You are loved, you are resilient, and you will continue to kick the universe’s ass, one day at a time.
Love,
The girl who doesn’t always think she’s enough either
