I remember a couple of months ago I was sitting in my dorm, casually scrolling through Twitter. When suddenly something caught my attention, “Rumor 'Gilmore Girls' is coming back for a Netflix series,” I thought it was a joke, so I continued to search it on Twitter, Instagram, and Google. I saw that it was rumor, and couldn’t be confirmed. Then there were pictures of the Warner Brother studios with pictures from the show, I remember being giddy thinking about how my mom and I use to watch it together when I was younger, and the fact that I just rewatched all the seasons of Netflix's, to say the least I was very excited to see if this rumor was true or fake.

When "Gilmore Girls" ended on May 15, 2007, many viewers were left having questions. What happened with Rory and the presidential campaign? Is she going to get back with Logan? Do Lorelei and Luke end up together after their kiss they shared in the final episode. On January 29, 2016, it was finally confirmed by Lauren Graham with a tweet that said “I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it’s time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007 to return to work! @netflixs #gilmoregirls”. When I saw this tweet, I couldn’t handle my excitement I screenshot it and sent to my mom, and then screamed to my roommate my excitement about one of my lifelong favorite shows returning.

Entertainment Weekly reported on the revival talking about the format that the show is going to follow saying “With four 90- minute episodes, the revival will take place over the four seasons of a calendar year, beginning with the winter episode, then heading into spring, summer, and finishing with fall. It will take place in present day, approximately eight years after we saw everyone in the town square.” For those who are true Star Hollow fans like myself, you know that a favorite season that the Gilmore girls have is the Winter, especially the first snowfall.

It seems like every day, there is another cast member that is revealed coming back to the show, but the most recent characters that are planned to come back are, Lorelei, Rory, Luke, Emily, Kirk, Lane, Gypsy, Emily, Paris, Doyle, Christopher, April, Michel, and there are Rory's ex-boyfriends Dean, Logan, and Jess are all suppose to come back to the show. Every day, the cast list releases another character who will be back.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Melissa McCarthy will not being reprising her role as Sookie, because she wasn’t invited. Amy Sherman Palladino said, “They’d love to work Sookie into revival if Melissa McCarthy had the time.” Melissa McCarthy says she wasn’t even invited, there seems to be some drama there. There is another character that sadly won’t be coming back to Stars Hollow, and that is Edward Herrmann, who played Richard Gilmore who passed away in late 2014.

According to the Today Show, Kelly Bishop who plays Emily Gilmore said “[Richard] is certainly a presence, especially in that first script. And Ed’s probably going to be hovering around the set a bit and watching over us. I really do believe that. Because he really loved the show.” It’s going to be sad to see how the writers show Richard death, he definitely was a major part of the show.

There isn’t many spoilers out about the show but some of the ones that Entertainment weekly talks about everything that is going to happen in the series there are four or five new cast members added to the show. They are going to continue where season seven left off, just a couple years later. They talk about how Rory is still single, and dating just like any women her age would. The dragonfly is still open. Then there are the final four words. At the end of Gilmore girls, they didn’t know that was going to be the final episode. The writer, Amy Sherman- Palladino knew she was going to write four final words at the series final finale. Not many people know the final four words, only Lauren Graham knows.

I can honestly say, I’m beyond excited to hear and sing the lyrics “Where you lead, I will follow.” I also can’t wait to see how much coffee Lorelei and Rory drink, and who ends up with who. This revival is giving me something to look forward too. I can’t wait to go back to Stars Hollow.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
