In honor of Rory, the master Pro-Con List Maker, I have made a pro-con list of my own to identify the reasons why Rory should or should not pick Jess or Dean...Hope it helps!

Note: As far as Logan is concerned, he cheated on Rory with an entire bridal party and she said no when he asked her to marry him, so this one will stick between her first two loves: Dean and Jess.

Dean: Rory's tall, hard-working fist love

Pros

  • Dean was Rory's first love. Every time they split, they ended up getting back together...is it possible for either of them to get over the other?
  • Dean takes care of his car. As Gypsy says, if a man takes care of his car, he'll take care of you.
  • He built Rory a car...enough said.
  • He's tall- and who doesn't like that?
  • He notices Rory when she's reading- her favorite thing to do.
  • He isn’t scared to hang out with her and her mom and have movie nights filled with junk food together.
  • Dean is a hard worker and doesn't give up.

Cons

  • Dean was unloyal to Lindsay even though he was married to her. Who knows if he’ll become unloyal to Rory?
  • He can be possessive of Rory.
  • He's gotten into quite a few fights, but most of them were because he was jealous of Rory.
  • He doesn't like books as much as Rory. Who knows? Maybe he's hit the books since the show last aired.
  • There’s that whole thing about him wanting his wife to “make him dinner,” and we all know how well Rory cooks.

Jess: The handsome bad-boy of Stars Hollow

Pros

  • Jess likes the same books and music as Rory- which is a huge deal considering Rory and Lorelai's constant references to books and bands.
  • He has good intentions; it's just that they go awry- like that one time he wrecked the car with Rory in it and freaked Lorelai and the whole town out.
  • He’s a writer and good with words, like Rory.
  • He is a hard worker… when he wants to be.

Cons

  • Jess is impulsive. You never know what he'll do next and that was part of the reason things didn't work out in the first place.
  • He doesn’t take great care of his car…in fact, he sleeps in it. If you're taking Gypsy's advice, Jess loses this one.
  • He runs away instead of telling Rory how he feels.
  • He doesn't care as much about school as Rory.
  • If Lorelai marries Luke Danes, Jess’ uncle, won’t that make Rory and Jess cousins?

Hope this gives some insight into the new Gilmore Girls premiere of "A Year in the Life" and Rory's upcoming decision on which boy to choose!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
