How Your Favorite "Gilmore Girls" Characters Have Changed

Oh dear Taylor.

In a valiant effort to remember every single detail about "Gilmore Girls" before "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" comes out THIS WEEK (I'm not excited at all), rewatching was a must. What astonished me the most was how different our favorite characters looked from their first episode to the revamp. Here are how a few of your favorites have changed.

The Family

Emily Gilmore

In the first episode, Emily Gilmore is nearly unrecognizable without her signature hair and perfectly done makeup. She's almost as unrecognizable in the previews from the new episode, simply for the fact that she is wearing *GASP* a t-shirt. Old Emily would never have been caught dead in such a horrible fashion, as she reminded Lorelai several times.

Richard Gilmore

RIP Richard Gilmore. He is one of the only people who could put up with Emily Gilmore for (most) of his life. In "Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life," he is memorialized in a gigantic painting that is like "THE WHOLE WALL!"

The Eccentrics

Sookie St. James

Well. Nothing has changed here. Sookie is still in the kitchen causing chaos. Then, it was the fact that she had to go to the doctor to get her finger looked at from where she cut it. Now, it's the pornographic nature of icing tubes.

Michel Gerard

Still helping out at the Dragonfly Inn. I think it speaks volumes about Lorelai's patience that Michel STILL works for her and Sookie.

Taylor Doose

The first we see Taylor, he's harassing Luke to put up Thanksgiving decorations in the diner. In the trailer for "Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life," he's standing where he rightly belongs at the front of the town leading a town meeting where everyone looks like they begrudge the fact that they're at the meeting. Yep, everything is the same in Stars Hollow.

Kirk Gleason

Fun fact, in the first episode, he was referred to as Mick. People are worried that something is between Kirk and Lorelai given that he's at Friday night dinner, but the fact that Emily asks who the heck he is shows that Kirk is just as crazy and random as ever. Can't wait to see how many more jobs he has taken on.

The Friends

Paris Geller

Same stairwell, almost the same look, definitely same Paris. Fortunately this time, she's walking beside Rory instead of glaring at her. Hopefully, in the past eight years, Rory and Paris have only grown closer.

Lane Kim

Slightly more grown-up Lane Kim. With cooler hair and an even better band tee wardrobe. At this point, she has to be the coolest mom on the Stars Hollow Elementary School PTA.

The Guys

Dean Forrester

Always with the looks over the shoulder. It's his aesthetic I guess. His hair has gotten longer. Hopefully, his decision-making skills have gotten better.

Jess Mariano

Gorgeous at any time. Gorgeous with the coif, gorgeous with long hair. Jess Mariano used to be a bad boy, but now, he looks like a great guy who you would love to have a glass of Scotch with. *Ahem* Rory.

Logan Huntzberger

Better fashion sense, still the same smug-ish grin. Good old Logan will never change. Or hopefully he will because I was not one of his fans.

Luke Danes

I feel weird putting him in the guys category because Luke is not just a guy, Luke is *THE* man. If you aren't Team Luke, you can go home now.

The Girls

Lorelai Gilmore

Why does she look like she's on the brink of crying in both of these photos? Both of them involve Luke, and one of them involves coffee. So I guess you have your answer to that one.

Rory Gilmore

Still the classic blue-eyed girl, Rory has some more experience and more troubles behind them, but they're still the same blue eyes.

Tune in on November 25th to see all the ways their personalities have changed.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Advice To Live By As Told By Bob's Burgers

The Belchers hold the key to a better life.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
