GIfts for Valentines Day

This one is for the people out there struggling to find a gift for their significant other this Valentines day. Here are some DIY gifts that will definitely show how much you care for your love.

1) Date Night Jar

This one is extremely simple yet beneficial to you and your loved one. It is also highly thoughtful and can be unique. You simply take a mason jar or any jar, colored paper, a ribbon, a marker and a pen. Ut your colored paper into stripe that are wide enough to right one yet short enough to fit in the jar. On each strip of paper write an idea for a date you and your loved one can go on. When finished writing place all the written on strips in the jar and shut the jar, tie a ribbon around it and then tape some paper to the jar and write date night jar on it or some other cute name.

2) Our Love is Explosive

This one is slightly cheesy, but excellently cute and charming. All you need is red colored paper, black yarn, one black pipe cleaner, any candy in a tube (three tubes) , a sticky note, and some tape. First you have to wrap the colored paper around each tube. Tape the paper to the tubes and then tie the tubes together. Make sure the tubes are standing vertically.Stick the pipe cleaner in the center of the covered tubes, then write “our love is explosive” on the sticky not and then stick it to the colored paper covered tubes and you are finished.

3) 50 Things I Love about You

Here is another cheesy one, but it is extremely sentimental and good for if your loved one is having a bad day. You will need one jar of your choosing, 51 stripes of paper colored or not and a pen. Take 50 of your paper strips and on each one write one reason you love your significant other. When finished writing put all fifty strips into the jar and seal the jar. Write “50 reasons I love you” on the last strip and tape it to the jar and you are finished.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
