11 Gift Ideas For Your Book Lover
Today I'm Bobbi

There are many of us out there, the book lovers, the people who absolutely adore books and cannot be in a bookstore for less than three hours. But what do you do when you do not know what to buy your book lover for Christmas? Here are a few things that they will love:

1. Gift cards

Get them a gift card from your local bookstore or from a larger bookstore like Barnes and Noble or Books A Million. (Not Amazon!)

2. Literature Posters

You can find these almost anywhere, just search Google! It's an even better gift if you get your book lover one with a quote of a book they love!

3. Bookish Candles

There are so many scents and colors, all of which I've found on various Etsy sellers. All with fun scents like "Christmas at Hogwarts", "Leather Bound Books", "Enchanted Library", and so many more!

4. Jewelry and Accessories

I can't tell you how many of these wonderful items I have seen and wanted, but I do not wear jewelry so they would just end up being trinkets on a desk. Earrings, bracelets, necklaces, brooches, etc. There is so much out there!

5. Clothing

Once again, just search Google and you will get many pages filled with shirts, hoodies, leggings, etc. all of literature-inspired quotes or designs.

6. Other Accessories

Bags, phone and iPad cases, pillows, throw blankets, and so much more! I use Society6 personally for pillows and throw blankets.

7. Journals

Every reader I know has loved getting a journal to be able to write in, even if they are not a huge writer. It is a good go-to item!

8. Bookends

Fishbowls, dancers, animals, there are millions of different bookends out there. One of them has got to be something that your book lover likes!

9. Specialty Journals

Harry Potter coloring books, Wreck This Journal, 642 Things To Write About. All of these are similar to journals, but they have some kind of trick to them. Wreck This Journal you literally wreck the journal. I have so much fun with mine, definitely recommend.

10. Vinyl Figures

A lot of these guys are movie or television related, but some are from books too. The Harry Potter collection is from the books.

11. Bookmarks

These are so simple. Plus you can personalize them, make them by hand, or buy really nice wooden bookmarks.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
