Myabetic. Pretty much anything from this website is ideal. They have cases for a variety of your diabetes needs, cooling pouches for those of us on injections so we can keep our insulin cool, T-shirts, Dexcom accessories, and Tandem accessories. I have the Banting wallet in purple (which I absolutely love) and the Marie Diabetes mini Crossbody in black which is basically a wallet and the Banting combined for the perfect night-out purse.

Prikkedief. This is a company based in the Netherlands, but their diabetes supplies are seriously to die for. They have clutches (which are basically the same as Myabetic’s clutches) and wallets, jewelry, pump and sensor covers, clothes, and posters! I recently ordered the Medtronic 630G gold sparkle pump cover and I cannot wait until it comes in the mail! If it's not in English at first, go down to the very bottom of the website to choose the right language.

Etsy. This website is my go-to for anything crafty, but I had no idea they had so many awesome diabetes accessories! I just ordered this super cute thigh band for my pump, and I am hoping to get this running belt as well (I mean, I don’t run, but if I ever want to run with my pump and some glucose tabs, I can). They have jewelry, clothes, bags, journals, stickers, pins, and so, so much more. All you do is search “diabetes,” “type one diabetes,” or “diabetic accessories” and you’ll get hundreds of hits on super cute, fashionable, and handmade items that any diabetic will no doubt love.

Lauren’s Hope. This company has medical ID jewelry that is just the absolute cutest. They have jewelry for men, women, and kids, and they have so many different styles suited for all kinds of different activities. Seriously, just shop around on this website for a bit and fill up that shopping cart because not only will these cute little accessories save your outfit, but they’ll save your life, too.

Journals. We all know how constantly busy and hectic a diabetic’s life is, so spoil them with a nice planner to keep them up to date with appointments and to help them get on a schedule to reduce the stress in their life. This website has some fantastic ideas for planners for all sorts of people, depending on their preferences. Personally, this one is a total dream for me, and the fact that I can choose which size and how the pages look is a big plus for me.

Pretty much anything cute and stylish, yet also functional, will be much appreciated from the diabetic in your life. Go on and impress them with your thoughtfulness!

April Ludgate
NBC Universal

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.
